I transform people's lives. The lives of elite athletes.
There you go, I said it.
I encouraged my client yesterday, a fellow coach to say it too, as she really didn't believe she does.
But she does. I do. Top coaches do.
But we rarely own it.
Because we are too humble and too worried about coming across as cocky and arrogant. But we rarely are those things (certainly not in abundance anyway).
And so what if we are a little cocky and arrogant?
Would you rather work with a coach who was timid, fluffy, safe and didn't take any credit for how good they are?
Athletes do it all the time whether verbally or non verbally they display cockiness, arrogance, confidence when needed.
And it works.
So there we have it.
Alex Manos transforms lives.
I've added third person speak to make me sound even more like a ******* (feel free to fill in the blank)
To coaches who don't think they do, there are usually 2 reasons.
1. You don't actually transform lives, you help people with some things.
2. You don't actually sit down, reflect and own the fact that you do.
Oh, and for clarity I have definitely done both 1 and 2.
Go blow your own trumpet - cos someone else might not!
